Groups representing individuals with disabilities no longer are pursuing their due process and equal protection claims against Colorado in a lawsuit challenging the state’s aid-in-dying law.
The United Spinal Association, Not Dead Yet, the Institute for Patients’ Rights, Atlantis ADAPT, and individual plaintiff Mary Grossman told the US District Court for the District of Colorado Monday they are dropping their civil rights claims only as to the state.
The stipulation, they said, doesn’t apply to any other defendant in the suit and they will proceed with their remaining claims against Colorado, which include alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities ...
