Dietary supplement makers are accusing the FDA of censorship after regulators denied their petition to use dozens of health claims in product labels marketed to consumers.
A complaint filed Wednesday against the Food and Drug Administration in the US District Court for the District of Columbia alleges the agency improperly denied 114 claims for lacking credible “authoritative statements” without clarifying whether any of the claims were false or misleading.
