Detransitioner Appeals Dismissal of Suit Against US Government

A Massachusetts woman who tried to sue the federal government for malpractice, negligence, and fraudulent misrepresentation in connection with her gender transition at a Boston facility is appealing the dismissal of her lawsuit.

Katie Coblentz notified the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts April 10 that she’s disputing its decision that her claims against Fenway Health were time-barred. Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton tossed the case March 16, saying she’d failed to show any reason why a two-year statute of limitations didn’t apply to her claims.
