Democrats in Congress want the Biden administration to allow men who had sex with another man to donate blood without any deferral.

More than 20 Democratic senators sent a letterto federal health officials Thursday asking them to update the Food and Drug Administration’s blood donation guidelines in light of the shortage of blood reported by the Red Cross.
