House Democrats’ fiscal 2021 State and Foreign Operations spending bill would boost overall funding, set aside $10 billion for the coronavirus response, and require President Donald Trump’s administration to send funds to the World Health Organization.
The bill, released Sunday, would provide $65.9 billion in discretionary funding, an $8.5 billion increase over fiscal 2020. That includes slightly more than $10 billion for a variety of coronavirus-related emergency funds that would be exempt from statutory spending limits.
