Cyber Group Claims Novo Hack and Extortion Attempt, Reuters Says

A cyber extortion group said it had stolen more than a terabyte of data from Novo Nordisk A/S and was looking at selling some of the information after unsuccessfully demanding $25 million from the pharmaceutical company, Reuters reported.

FulcrumSec said in a message on its website Tuesday that it spent more than two months in the drugmaker’s networks stealing data, Reuters reported. That includes company source code and proprietary information on released and unreleased treatments, as well as data on trials, employees, doctors and patients, the news agency said.
