Pharmacy chain CVS has agreed to pay $11 million to resolve allegations of recordkeeping violations related to controlled substances, federal prosecutors announced April 3 (United States v. CVS Pharmacy Inc.).
The Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma said CVS also acknowledged that each of its Drug Enforcement Administration-registered retail stores is required to comply with the records requirements of the Controlled Substances Act.
