A federal court has partially lifted a preliminary injunction blocking Kentucky’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The order Tuesday from the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky said that because the state updated some forms and programs imposing administrative and reporting requirements on providers, Kentucky’s two abortion providers now can comply with those sections of the law.
But some provisions, including a requirement for abortion providers to become “qualified physicians,” remain blocked because the state hasn’t created a means of compliance, the order said.
