Court Clears Way for Class Action Over Florida Medicaid Notices

A federal court cleared the way for a class action challenging the adequacy of notices used by Florida to terminate benefits for hundreds of thousands of the state’s Medicaid recipients.

In an order released Tuesday, the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida certified class status to all future and past beneficiaries in Florida issued written notices that don’t identify the income eligibility threshold used in their termination of Medicaid benefits.
