A federal court blocked the Trump administration from withdrawing funding for LGBTQ+ related research.
The US District Court for the District of Maryland on Friday granted a preliminary junction reversing the abrupt cancellation of over $800 million in National institutes of Health grants studying issues related to gender dysphoria, mental health, and HIV/AIDS care that plaintiffs said amounted to discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and transgender status.
