Court Again Rejects PhRMA Suit Against US Drug Price Talks (1)

A leading drug industry group lost its bid again to block Medicare’s drug price negotiations after a federal court in Texas rejected its constitutional claims challenging the plan.

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, along with co-plaintiffs the National Infusion Center Association, and the Global Colon Cancer Association, suffered another loss before the US District Court for the Western District of Texas when Judge David Alan Ezra ruled Thursday the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program doesn’t violate the rights or cause economic harm to the three health groups.
