County Dodges Civil Rights Suit Over Covid Vaccine, Testing Rule

Hennepin County, Minn., didn’t violate the civil rights of employees by requiring them to either get vaccinated against Covid or be subjected to weekly testing, a federal court said.

The county didn’t violate Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, or 42 U.S.C. §1983 when it imposed its requirements against Jacqueline Colson and Carrie Borgheiinck, the opinion by Judge Wilhelmina M. Wright, of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota, said Tuesday.
