Coppertone Sunscreen $2.3 Million Settlement Gets Final Approval

A Coppertone sunscreen class settlement calling for Beiersdorf Inc. and Bayer Healthcare LLC to pay $2.3 million and test products for benzene has won final approval from a federal judge.

Judge Brian M. Cogan of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York approved the nationwide settlement Tuesday, along with the plaintiffs’ attorneys’ request for roughly $767,000 in fees and about $31,400 in costs.
