Hospitals in Colorado would have to submit details on their revenues and expenditures under a health-cost transparency bill just approved by the state House.
The measure (H.B. 1001) would require hospitals in the state to give the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing information it needs to prepare an annual report on uncompensated costs and different categories of spending by hospitals, according to the bill. The House approved the measure 39-22 Jan. 31 and sent it to the Senate.
