The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has proposed an update to the federal health insurance marketplace to allow states to regularly update the insurance information on the marketplace website, HealthCare.gov, the CMS said in a notice to be published in the Federal Register Feb. 3.
The CMS is proposing a mandate for insurance issuers to verify the information on HealthCare.gov on a quarterly basis and is asking states to verify state-submitted information on an annual basis, HHS said.
