CMS Announces Suppliers Chosen For Expansion of DME Competitive Bidding

Nearly 800 suppliers have been chosen to participate in the 91-city expansion of Medicare’s durable medical equipment (DME) competitive bidding program, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said April 9.

The large Round Two expansion, which begins July 1, encompasses major metropolitan areas, including the city and surrounding areas of New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. It also includes a national mail-order competition for diabetic testing supplies throughout the United States and its territories.

CMS said 18 suppliers have accepted contracts to provide mail-order diabetic testing supplies.
