CMS Announces Launch of Annual Survey On Satisfaction With Medicare Contractors

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Jan. 3 announced it had launched its annual Medicare Contractor Provider Satisfaction Survey (MCPSS).

According to CMS, the survey offers Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) providers and suppliers an opportunity to give the agency feedback on their interactions with Medicare FFS contractors related to seven key business functions:

•provider inquiries;

•provider outreach and education;

•claims processing;

•appeals;

•provider enrollment;

•medical review; and

•provider audit and reimbursement.

CMS said the survey is designed to collect quantifiable data on provider/supplier satisfaction with the performance of Medicare fee-for-service contractors, which is a requirement of the Medicare Prescription Drug, ...
