CMS Adds Star Ratings For Hospital Compare Website

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services April 16 announced the addition of Star Ratings for its Hospital Compare website, a site that allows consumers to gauge the performance of multiple hospitals.

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems star ratings will “enable consumers to more quickly and easily assess the patient experience of care information that is provided on the Hospital Compare website,” a CMS fact sheet said.
