CleanChoice Trims Renewable Energy Source Deception Class Suit

CleanChoice Energy Inc. convinced a federal judge to cut part of a proposed class action alleging the independent energy service company duped consumers into thinking they would receive electricity generated solely from renewable resources.

The US District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Tuesday dismissed a contract claim, but allowed a deception claim under the state’s consumer protection law to proceed.
