Class Certified in Pfizer Case Over Celebrex, Bextra

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York March 29 certified a plaintiff class of investors in a securities suit against Pfizer Inc. (PFE) and five executives over their alleged concealment of the results of studies of its drugs Celebrex and Bextra (In re Pfizer Inc. Securities Litigation).

Judge Laura Taylor Swain also certified a subclass of persons who purchased stock contemporaneously with sales of Pfizer stock by the individual defendants on certain dates.
