Christian medical providers lost a suit to stop the US from requiring them to provide gender-confirming care, after a federal court found that they lacked standing to challenge a law prohibiting discrimination in health care.
The American College of Pediatricians, the Catholic Medical Association, and Dr. Jeanie Dassow failed to show that they face a credible threat of prosecution by the US Health and Human Services Department if they engage in conduct that allegedly violates the Affordable Care Act’s Section 1557, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee said in an order dismissing the case.
