A federal district court judge in Texas is allowing a fight to proceed over whether the federal government can force certain Christian medical providers to treat transgender people and anyone who’s had or is seeking an abortion.
The dispute over the need for a permanent injunction to block the federal government from being able to include “gender identity” and “termination of a pregnancy” in Obamacare’s protections against sex discrimination should move forward in supplemental briefing, the U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services, Christian medical providers and a group of states led by Texas told Judge
