Chamber of Commerce Asks Court to Pause Drug Price Negotiations

The US Chamber of Commerce and several state and local affiliates want a federal judge to put a hold on the Medicare agency’s drug price negotiation program while the group’s legal challenge proceeds.

The business lobbying group filed a motion Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio requesting a preliminary injunction on the program put in place by the Inflation Reduction Act. The law allows Medicare for the first time to negotiate the prices of some of the drugs it spends the most on.
