A federal appeals court has placed a hold on a suit challenging President Donald Trump’s executive orders that prohibit agencies from funding programs related to gender-affirming health care.
In a brief order Monday, the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit put the case into abeyance pending a decision in United States v. Skrmetti, which is currently under consideration by the US Supreme Court. The nation’s top court heard oral arguments in Skrmetti in December and is expected to rule by late June.
