The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is gathering feedback on a series of proposals to how clinicians classify gender-affirming care in medical records, including—for the first time—medical diagnosis codes for individuals who stopped transitioning.
The series of proposed changes was put forward and is being shepherded by Do No Harm, a group that opposes gender-affirming care for minors and DEI, but it has generated opposition from LGBTQ+ policy groups.
