The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is unnecessarily putting vaccine advisers at risk by posing routine disclosures as evidence of corrupt conflicts of interest, public health observers warn.
Over 30 scientists who have partaken in the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) since 2000 have had their “conflicts of interest disclosures” posted online by the CDC. Such filings are already publicly available and commonplace for the small number of scientists with vaccine expertise, observers say.
