CHICAGO—The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology announced April 8 that it has relaunched applications and testing for its certification programs for electronic health records.
In doing so, CCHIT officially separated its CCHIT Certified program that has been updated annually since its inception in 2006 from its Preliminary ARRA program. The preliminary program was launched in October 2009 in anticipation of the modular testing and certification service that would become accredited by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
