Cardinal Health to Curb Glove Supplies to Hospitals, Clinics (1)

Health-care facilities that rely on Cardinal Health Inc. for nitrile exam gloves during the Covid-19 pandemic are going to see their supplies constricted through the worst part of the winter.

The announcement was made Tuesday, according to a letter sent to the distributor’s customers, obtained by Bloomberg Law.

Cardinal said it anticipates “severe constraints on exam gloves for customers who did not sign up for the Supply Assurance Program”—in which hospitals negotiate for a certain amount of product understanding the price can vary.
