Senate GOP Presses Forward to Halt Calif. Pollution Rules (1)

Senate Republicans Friday introduced measures to repeal a Biden-era decision allowing California to adopt stricter emissions standards for cars and trucks, flouting a decision announced earlier in the day by the chamber rule-keeper to block such a move.

“I will continue to address all options available to strike down these rules and eliminate the consequential impact they would make across our country,” said Environment and Public Works Chairman Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) in a statement announcing the Congressional Review Act resolutions.
