A federal judge promised to rule quickly on whether to temporarily halt a Trump administration investigation seeking medical information about transgender patients from a California children’s hospital.
Six families filed suit last week seeking a temporary restraining order to stop Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital from complying with a Justice Department subpoena to provide medical records related to care for transgender patients. The subpoena originates from a Texas court’s investigation, and DOJ is not a defendant in the case.
