Boston Scientific Hit With Fresh SCS Patent Claims by Nevro

Nevro intensified its courtroom battle with larger rival Boston Scientific, claiming in a new lawsuit that BSC’s newly launched WaveWriter Alpha set of products infringe five patents related to paresthesia-free spinal cord stimulation, or SCS, therapy, which treats pain with short electrical pulses.

  • Nevro is seeking a reasonable royalty or lost profits due to BSC’s infringement, which Nevro says is intentional and merits tripling any damages, according to complaint filed Tuesday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware
