Floyd Calhoun Dent has reached a settlement worth more than $16 million with the Justice Department to satisfy a judgment in a kickback scheme, the DOJ said Monday.
Dent, who jointly owned BlueWave Healthcare Consultants Inc., was found liable by a South Carolina jury in 2018 for violating the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act by submitting false claims to Medicare and TRICARE, according to the DOJ.
