Bill Would Allow Veterans to Receive Telemedicine Services Across State Lines

Receiving telemedicine services from health care providers in another state could get easier for Department of Veterans Affairs patients under a bill with bipartisan support introduced July 12 by Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.).

The Veterans E-Health & Telemedicine Support Act of 2012 (H.R. 6107) would allow a VA patient to receive health care services delivered via telemedicine from providers licensed to practice in states other than the one where the patient is being treated.
