Guidelines for operating Obamacare exchanges in 2025 were released Tuesday by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The 2025 “Benefit and Payment Parameters” final rule (RIN 0938-AV22) comes after a record 21.3 million people signed up for 2024 individual marketplace coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Enrollment could rise even higher as people who lost Medicaid coverage after the Covid-19 public health emergency, utilize enhanced subsidies under the Inflation Reduction Act to get coverage.
