A Biden administration plan to protect abortion records despite local restrictions is getting support from more than 20 state attorneys general.
Attorneys general in Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin are among those signing a Friday letter to Biden Health and Human Services Department officials supporting a proposed rule (RIN 0945–AA20) to shield reproductive rights records from state law enforcement. The state AGs are urging the HHS to “move expeditiously” in issuing the rule, the letter said.
