The Covid-19 national emergency declared by former President Donald Trump in March 2020 would be ended by H. J. Res. 7, which the Senate cleared for the president March 29.

Trump issued the emergency declaration on March 13, 2020, in response to the outbreak of Covid-19. It followed the public health emergency that the Health and Human Services Department (HHS) first declared on Jan. 31, 2020.
