BGOV Bill Analysis: House Three-Year ACA Tax Credit Extension

Enhancements to Affordable Care Act premium tax credits enacted during the Covid-19 pandemic would be extended for three years under a proposal from House Democrats.

Four Republicans signed onto a discharge petition Dec. 17 to force a vote on the proposal. The petition would tee up consideration of a resolution (H. Res. 780) that would amend an unrelated bill (H.R. 1834) with the subsidy extension. That bill, if passed, would head to the Senate for further action.
