The provision in the health reform law establishing a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMI) could be the “jewel in the crown” of the law because projects launched by the center hold promise to lower health care costs while increasing quality, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Donald M.
