Becton Dickinson Unit Beats Catheter Antitrust Case After Trial

Becton, Dickinson & Co. subsidiary C.R. Bard Inc. defeated an antitrust lawsuit claiming it’s trying to improperly corner the market on certain blood vessel catheters, when a New York jury ruled for the company after an 11-day trial.

The jury answered “no” to the question of whether plaintiff AngioDynamics Inc. had proven an unlawful tying arrangement under the Sherman Act, according to a verdict sheet signed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of New York.
