Becton, Dickinson & Co. escaped a lawsuit alleging it conspired with medical device distributors and group purchasing organizations to overcharge health-care providers for syringes and catheters.
Three health-care providers couldn’t sue device maker Becton, distributors Cardinal Health Inc., McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc., Owens & Minor Distribution Inc., and Henry Schein Inc., along with two groups that negotiate purchases on behalf of providers, for alleged federal antitrust law violations, the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Illinois said Nov. 30.
