Bausch, Lannett to Pay $17.9m in Drug Price Scheme Settlements

Bausch and Lannett to pay $17.85 million to settle allegations the companies played a role in a scheme to inflate the prices of generic drugs and reduce competition, New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office said in a statement.

  • James joined a coalition of 47 attorneys general to secure the settlement
  • Settlements part of an ongoing multistate litigation against dozens of companies for illegal agreements to fix prices for generic drugs
  • Lannett to pay $13.77 million and Bausch to pay $4.08 million under the two settlements
