Bausch, Insud’s Chemo Sue Encube to Block Copies of Nuvessa Drug

Insud Pharma SL’s Chemo Research SL unit and Bausch Health Cos. allege that a generic version of Nuvessa proposed by Encube Ethicals Private Ltd. infringes seven patents for the bacterial vaginosis treatment.

Bausch Health Ireland Ltd. owns three of the patents and Madrid-based Chemo is the exclusive licensee, according to a complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Chemo owns the other four patents, the suit says.
