Circulatory Centers of America LLC, a multistate varicose vein treatment provider that declared bankruptcy in 2017, agreed to pay $1.2 million to settle a whistleblower lawsuit alleging that it submitted false billings to Medicare.
The settlement resolves a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Circulatory Centers of America, related subsidiaries, its former owner, and its president, chief financial officer, and medical director. It was announced June 28 by U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady.
