Texas AG Opens Critical Race Theory Probe, Nonsuits Another (2)

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) has dropped claims against a Dallas area school district he no longer accuses of teaching critical race theory in violation of state law.

Meanwhile, Paxton on Monday announced he’s investigating the Austin public school system, seeking to depose the superintendent and board members as part of an investigation into whether that district teaches critical race theory.

Paxton said he’s “taking legal action” without elaborating in a press statement.

“We will fully investigate the district’s policies involving the teaching of illegal CRT curriculum to make sure state law is enforced,” Paxton said.
