Aspiring Hospital Savior Faced U.S. Probe Before Bankruptcy

Americore Health LLC was under federal investigation and embroiled in a lender feud when the hospital operator went bankrupt in December, court papers show.

The company, founded in 2017 with the intent of revitalizing rural hospitals, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Dec. 31 after clashing with Third Friday Management LLC over control of the company’s cash, Americore attorney Jim Irving of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP said in a hearing last week.
