A woman alleging her personal information was stolen in a cyberattack on a dental practice management chain filed a proposed class-action lawsuit against the company, saying it failed to exercise reasonable care in safeguarding patient data.

Caitlin McDaniel sued Aspen Dental Management Inc. in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the latest in a growing spate of lawsuits over health data breaches.
