As Trump’s Drug Plan Turns One, Prices Drop but Future Unclear

It’s been a year since that hot spring day when President Donald Trump stood up in the White House Rose Garden and made Americans a big promise: Drug prices are going to go down.

Since that promise, the administration has proposed at least five major regulatory changes, the Food and Drug Administration approved record numbers of generic drugs, and federal lawmakers introduced at least 10 bills aimed at drug patents, price hikes, drug discounts, or transparency.
