Arkansas Seeks Full-Court Appeal for Transgender Care Ban Suit

A full federal appeals court should determine the fate of Arkansas’ first-of-its-kind ban on what the state calls “gender transition procedures” for minors, the state’s top lawyer said.

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin (R) asked the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Thursday to skip its normal procedure of submitting appeals to a three-judge panel first, and then permitting parties to ask for en banc review after the panel decision has issued.
