Arkansas Asks Supreme Court to Review Medicaid Work Rule

The U.S. Supreme Court must review and reverse a federal appeals court’s “dramatic curtailment” of the Health and Human Services Department’s Medicaid waiver authority, Arkansas told the high court in a petition for review.

The petition, filed Monday, asks the court to take a look at a decision that invalidated an Arkansas Medicaid demonstration project that required some recipients to work, attend school, or volunteer in order to maintain coverage.
