Arizona Hospital Must Face Renewed Covid-Era Wrongful Death Suit

An Arizona woman’s wrongful death suit against a hospital where her mother died while being treated for Covid-19 must be revived because it wasn’t clearly untimely, a state appeals court said.

The deadline to file the suit expired, at the latest, two years after Sherri Pelchat received records in mid-January 2022 that put her on notice of possible misconduct by Banner Health, according to the Arizona Court of Appeals, First Division.
